Nikon operates factories all across the globe and each operates to the same high standard. While individual items are marked with their country of manufacture, we cannot make a blanket statement about the country of origin of a specific type/model of camera or lens. Manufacture warranty on a brand new lens is a One Year limited warranty that does not cover sand, water or impact damage. An additional 4 years of this same limited warranty is granted for Nikon lenses when they are registered. To learn more please contact Nikon Support.
