• It has two built in microphones only to captures stereo sound when taking video clips.

• The Nikon COOLPIX L840 has a built in microphone and does not have a port for a microphone accessory to be used. To reduce unwanted background noise, such as wind, use the Wind Reduction feature. This feature is in the main Menu section of the camera under Movie options.
