The mode that is best suited for action on the Nikon COOLPIX P610 digital camera is "Sports Scene". You can set the mode to "Sports Scene" by changing the mode dial on the top to "Scene" and pressing the menu button. Scroll down to the "Sports" option in the menu list and press "OK". This places the camera on "Sports Scene" which allows you to get 7 images continuously at a rate of about 7fps when holding the shutter button all the way down.
