There are modes and settings you can use on the Nikon COOLPIX L840 digital camera to adjust how fast the image is taken. Try a continuous setting in Auto mode for things such as fast moving wildlife. There is also a sports mode will allow the camera to capture about 7 images continuously at a rate of 7.4 frames per second at the 16m size. This camera can create images with a maximum resolution of 4608x3456 pixels (16 Megapixels). To determine print size, divide the resolution by the DPI (dots per inch) that you wish to use for the print. Printing a file this size at 300 DPI would result in a print that was approximately 15.4" x 11.5", while printing at 20 DPI would result in a print that was around 20" x 17.3". Many software programs offer a 'resampling' option which can extend the size of the print without a visible reduction in quality.
