• The Nikon COOLPIX L840 digital camera uses 4 AA batteries and is supplied with a temporary set of AA alkaline-type batteries. They can be replaced with 4 AA alkaline, lithium or EN-MH2 batteries. An optional AC Adapter Battery Charger-73 can charge 4 En-MH2-B4 Rechargeable NI-MH batteries, making the Nikon L840 an AC-Adapter compatible camera.

• The AC adapter will allow it to operate on a power source however it does not feature any rechargeable batteries.
