- Answer This is a great flash with a small footprint but will not work with the Nikon J5. It needs a camera with a Hot shoe and the Nikon J5 does not have one. See the photo of the hot shoe conector that the camera needs to have.

- Answer Yes. This installed on my Nikon D850 in seconds with 2 AAA batteries, and for a novice flash user the controls, lock onto camera, power on, and angle of flash were super easy, I can’t soeak to advanced flash features.

- Answer I believe it is. While I was in the store shopping for an upgrade, the salesperson used the flash on several different cameras. Therefore, I believe the flash is interchangeable with almost all Nikon products.

- Answer Yes, the SB-300 AF Speedlight is compatible with the Nikon D5 DSLR camera. When the SB-300 is mounted on the camera, adjustments can be made in the "Flash Control" section in the Photo Shooting Menu to suit your photography needs.

- Answer The compact, lightweight SB-300 AF Speedlight , when used as a single flash option, offers i-TTL and manual options. However, there are some limitations of use with the Nikon D3300. For instance, wireless flash control is not available with the Nikon SB-300 when using it with the Nikon D3300. AF-assist for multi-area AF and Red-eye reduction are also not available when using this camera and lens combination. To learn more about flash unit compatibility, please contact Nikon Support.
