• The black screw top does come off and there is plenty of room to get a sink brush in there to clean it. Or, just put it in your dishwasher every once in a while. Most of the time, just rinsing it out with tap water is good enough every morning when you are done with your coffee.

• We would like to confirm that the lid for the carafe is removable. To clean inside the carafe, we recommend using a soft foam brush. Do not use a wire brush. The glass carafe and brew-through lid are top-rack dishwasher safe.
