- Answer No it's not like a microwave. A microwave heats faster, in seconds. The ninja foodi heats and cooks in minutes and food turns out great. Your food is either toasted to perfection, baked and moist not dry, and fried just right not soggy. A microwave can't fry, leaves your food soggy and can dry out meats. I really love my foodi ninja, I use it all the time, best investment I've made. It may not heat as fast as a microwave but it's still faster than most counter top ovens.

QuestionHow come my ninja air fryer make to much smoke

- Answer We are sorry to hear of this experience and would like to provide you with some steps for eliminating the appearance of smoke. If cooking greasy foods, like chicken wings/chicken thighs, etc. and the sheet pan is not below the crisp basket there will be smoke. If you are using marinade ensure that you are applying it half-way through the cooking cycle, because it will result in smoking/burning of the marinade. Cook any fatty foods at 375 or lower temp. Be sure no food is directly contacting the top heating elements or the top of the cooking cavity. Ensure that you are cleaning your unit regularly so that grease does not build up inside. Questiondo both sp100 and sp101 have an interior light?

- Answer They both have a light. The light can be manually turned on and off. The button for the light is the lower right button with a light bulb symbol on it. The light turns on automatically when the food timer is almost complete. The main differences between the two ovens as the SP101 has a lower temperature so it adds a dehydration and keep warm selection. The top temperatures are identical.

QuestionThe instructions state only the sheet pan is dishwasher safe. What happens if I put the air fryer basket or the wire rack in the dishwasher? If they can withstand the heat of an oven, it seems logical they could go in the dishwasher. Thanks!

- Answer We would like to inform you that the air fry basket is dishwasher safe. With this being said, we ask that you do not wash the wire rack in the dishwasher as it may damage the item.

QuestionWill this be high enough gor a 9x5 loaf pan fit in the flip up Ninja?

- Answer No, just short of being able to fit that. Probably not the best oven for baking for that reason. But the depth allows for wonderful even cooking for fries, tots, veggies and meat. Guess there has to be a trade off depending on the type of cooking you personally do the most of, unfortunately. The higher type ovens don't allow for spreading out the food or cooking a 12 inch pizza like this one does. I just use my regular oven for true baking. And the flip up option is a biggie for me as well since I have little counter space. Hope that helps.

- Answer It cooks pretty fast . There is a learning curve here . In the beginning don’t cook anything longer then five minutes without checking it and stirring it . You will soon see how fast this oven bakes and what a good Job it does.

- Answer You remove the crumb tray before you flip if you want to flip, open, and clean. If you flip without you can't remove the crumb tray.

- Answer I've baked salmon in this no problem. Haven't tried mussels or clams, but don't see why not... pretty much anything you can do in an oven, you can do in this. It's just smaller so it won't fit as much as a full-sized oven.

- Answer The oven sits about an inch off your surface and will not damage your counter. I love the fact that it folds right up against the wall to allow more counter space! It’s a must have and it’s BPA free!!!
