Hi Ozzie. Some noise and vibration from the espresso machine is normal during operation. It uses a vibration pump, which naturally produces a humming sound and slight movement, especially while brewing. If the vibration seems excessive or unusually loud, it may be due to the surface it's placed on or loose components. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The grinder shouldn't be that loud. Mine is fairly quiet, but it is grinding. During the brew process there should be little if any noise. Make sure you have taken all the packaging tape off of everything.
