- Answer Yes, this blender is similar to what they have in commercial smoothie shops. I use it for smoothies daily and i have never had such a smooth smoothie at home with other ninja blenders.

QuestionI found in "questions" that the blender is plastic. Are any of the components made of glass? I prefer glass over plastic for blender but not necessarily for food processor. Does the blender have an ice crusher button? Does it make frozen drinks?

- Answer There are no glass components but the plastic is solid and light weight. It has a crush button and makes superior frozen drinks. Far better than a regular blender. I love mine.

- Answer Yes. It comes with 2 single serve cups, 2 lids for the cups, and 1 single serve blade. The only drawback would be that the mouth of the lids is always open so they don't make great travel mugs.

- Answer Yes, the blender will be ideal for hummus. It does a great job with making smooth sauces and dips - I make cashew cream all the time with mine. I tend to chop my items for guacamole by hand because I like mine chunky, but could see the food processor could be useful for your guac - at least for the onions and jalapeños but possibly all of the ingredients. If you like yours super creamy, it would be easy.
