You cannot have both these battery packs attached to the Joy-Cons and the Switch console itself, not that it matters. These battery packs are meant to charge the Joy-Cons while they aren't connected to the Switch. If the Joy-Cons are connected to the Switch, the batteries aren't being used since it's a direct, physical connection instead of wireless connection. If the Joy-Cons are attached to the Switch while the Switch is being charged, then the Joy-Cons will be charged as well. How long the packs supply a charge, I cannot answer. I've been using these more as grips than battery packs so I haven't actually put batteries in them yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can’t put the joy con on the console with the batter pack on. The charge will depend on the battery, some will last longer than others, it’s been a month since I changed packs and have not mounted the joy cons onto the console. The battery pack has its own straps, it replaces the ones that come with the joy con controller. As far as removing the string itself I haven’t tried it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope. They attach to the Switch using the same mechanism so you can’t have a Joy-con attached to both at the same time. I’m not sure how much longer the pack extends battery life. I haven’t used them for that yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The joy-cons can’t connect to anything with the battery pack on. It is one single piece with a strap on it. Since the battery pack uses AA batteries, the duration varies depending on what batteies you put into it.
