- Answer It depends on whether you want to use the Switch for online play. If you just prefer to just use the Switch for Animal Crossing or some other games that don't require online play, you can just use the Switch without a membership.

- Answer You only need the online account for certain games. It is beat to just buy the online access. It is inexpensive and won’t have to worry about wether a game works or not with out the account.
