- Answer The membership allows you to play online and gives you access to older games in the Nintendo catalog. While there is a nice selection they are from NES and SNES libraries. It is not like Xbox Gamepass or PS Now game services that offer more current titles. I hope that helps you make an informed purchasing decision.

- Answer Since you already bought 2 individual memberships, you will have to activate each one. In the future, you should buy the family membership which is $35 for up to 5 people at once. Should save you $5.

- Answer It depends on whether you want to use the Switch for online play. If you just prefer to just use the Switch for Animal Crossing or some other games that don't require online play, you can just use the Switch without a membership.
