  • QuestionWhy does the user manual not suggest putting milk into the LIZ? Is there any other beverage type that I should not fill into my LIZ?

    Asked by AccidentallyCute.

    • Answer Thanks for the question AccidentallyCute (I'm sure it's not accidental though). We don't recommend putting milk inside because milk curdles more easily than other beverages, which means there are lots of bacteria present, and the UV light may not fully penetrate the milk to kill all of the bacteria and viruses within. As well as this, the milk can harden around the sides of your bottle and have the same issue. Except for milk, you can use your LIZ with any type of beverage with peace of mind - just remember to give it a rinse if you have any acidic/fizzy liquids inside!

  • QuestionHow long will the LIZ keep my coffee hot?

    Asked by MaximusDecimusMeridius.

    • Answer Thanks for the question MaximusDecimusMeridius, LIZ is vacuum insulated, and so is capable of keeping your beverages hot for up to 12 hours, or cold for up to 24 hours. Enjoy!

  • QuestionIs LIZ dishwasher safe?

    Asked by Daydream.

    • Answer Thanks for the question Daydream. The LIZ bottle is completely dishwasher safe. The lid, where the smart technology is, must be washed by hand under a tap (and never be fully submerged under water).

  • QuestionHow can I be sure that UV sterilization technology works properly when I tap onto the cap?

    Asked by Baris.

    • Answer Thank you for your question Baris. As you know, LIZ uses UV light to sterilize 99.9% of viruses and odor-causing bacteria, just by tapping the lid.  When the UV process is ongoing, the lid of the bottle will flash white. If the sterilization process is stopped or doesn't start (for example, if the lid is opened during the process, or the bottle has been overfilled) the lid will flash red to indicate the UV sterilization isn't active.
