A:AnswerThese cards drop at various times without any predictable forecasting. I snagged a 3090 by pure luck. On 1/21/21, I signed up for the HotStock app to monitor inventory. The next day - pure luck - it pinged while I was sitting at my computer and looking at my phone. I had a 3080 and 3090 in my cart but only got to buy the 3090. I'm sure everything was sold out in minutes.
For their part, Best Buy is doing a decent job of regulating traffic on the website when these items list. It takes some perseverance and luck, but it's possible.
A:AnswerAs long as BB doesn't put a captcha test at checkout or a simple purchase limit on products, scalpers will always buy everything first and you'll be left in the dust. This is BB's problem, not the scalper's. People need to start making complaints to the Better Business Bureau against BB, amzn, NewEg, etc.
A:Answerjust got the 3090 FE. Tested it out on LG CX 55". Control on DirectX12 with ultra setting/DLSS/RayTracing out of the box settings I'm getting an average of 65FPS.
My gaming monitor is LG 34gn850-b I'm getting over 70FPS with the same settings. I'm pretty sure I can get a higher FPS if I took the time to configure the TV and monitor properly. Hope that helps.
A:AnswerAs mentioned in the previous Answer, you will need 850W power supply just to be on the safe side. you can still run 3090 with i7 8700K, but your FPS will be a little bit lower compared to a newer Intel i7. There's a great video on youtube where they benchmark test i7 8700K, 9700K, and 10700K. I'm currently running i7 10700 non-K version with the 3090. Works great. To give an idea CPU Mark results for 10700 is 17491 and the 8700K is 13899.
If possible the 3080 or AMD 6800XT would be a better choice/deal. Originally wanted the 3080, since I was unable to obtain one, but got very lucky to get the 3090 FE on BestBuy. Happy with my choice, since I was about to buy the 2080ti, glad I waited. Shout Out to Best Buy, At least they're trying to make it fair as much as possible. Trust me I know, been trying since day one, compared to NewEgg, you have a better chance with BestBuy. Good luck and game on.
A:AnswerAssuming you mean a ryzen 3950x then no. You will be fine PCIE gen 3 vs 4 will not be a huge difference and that processor supports gen 4. I have the same CPU and plan on upgrading to the 3090 as well.
A:AnswerYou gotta keep your eyes open, they do periodic drops and are one of the best retailers for currently getting a card period due to their que system, got mine the first attempt on bb after like 50+ failed tries on newegg and Amazon
A:AnswerRelease days seem to be kinda random-although they usually release at 10am where I live, follow discord groups or have a script running to notify you when they’re in stock. They restocked yesterday (02.09.2021) and again- everything sold out in an instant, I only got 1 out of the 48 I was going for. Even with prior knowledge of the card coming in stock you are still unlikely to receive one-though your chances are a lot better. Hopefully that helps!
A:AnswerYour best bet is to go in there when the trucks come in and ask if they have them on the truck. I was told they won't say they have it online due to fear of causing people to fight over them.
A:AnswerPersonally, I'd scalp the 3090 for as much as you can get -- maybe up to $3000 -- and take the profit and put it towards the 3080 Ti. Now you'll end up with nearly the same performance but at the cost of an AIB 3060.
