The main difference between the Oculus go and the Oculus Quest is the Oculus Quest is a 6 degrees of freedom system where as the Oculus go is 3 degrees of freedom. In short you can walk around and see your hands move about it all that type stuff on the quest whereas with the go you're stuck with just moving your head a bit and kind of sort of moving the controller. Unfortunately there is no Cross by between the Oculus Quest and the Oculus go. So any titles that you purchased for you go you will have to re-buy for the quest. It is a significant upgrade and well worth it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Quest will bring you six degrees of freedom. The Go is three degrees of freedom, which makes it feel like you're paralyzed from the neck down except in the one arm you use your controller with. So, the Quest will let you move around in an area, bent down, lean over, etc... You can dodge objects, catch items, move things by hand, hold two items at once, dance around the room, whatever. Additionally, the graphics are much better, not only because the OLED display is much better (higher resolution) but because the processor is way better, overclocked, and actively cooled by an internal fan. That reminds me - no overheating like the Go. The games on the Quest are much better in all aspects and longer. The Go is great for a VR viewer, but the Quest is just what VR was supposed to be from the beginning. Total freedom.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Quest has what's called 6DOF (six degrees of freedom) verses the Go and VR Gear having 3DOF (three degrees of freedom). You're movements are tracked and accounted for MUCH, MUCH MORE with the Quest than they are with the Go. The Go and Samsung VR are less detailed, less powerful, and far less capable when it comes to exploring virtual reality. Unfortunately, the games that you have for the Go won't automatically be owned in your Quest catalog. The games are relatively cheap ($15-20). However, I understand the aggravation of the matter as I am also affected by this case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the games will not play on the quest. with the quest you can move and walk in all directions not just sit in a chair. you get to be a part of the game.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just read yesterday that there a number of games that will be able to be used on the Quest if you have already purchased them for the Go or Samsung Gear VR. Not all games are transferable though. For example The Climb is one that I have for use on my Windows Mixed Reality, and it should be usable on Quest. Check on Oculus, or Google or go to YouTube to find out which games transfer over. I will try to update once I have my Quest.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You’ll be able to actually play games and interact more by moving around in play area you design to fully experience 360 degrees . You will also have more head and hand movements available.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I own the 64gb Go as well, and the difference between the two is night and day. Quest allows for positional tracking and movement (6 degrees of freedom vs the Go’s 3 degrees) and truly makes the gaming experience become immersive. The display screen quality is tons better as well. The best analogy I can come up with is that the Go is like a Super Nintendo and the Quest is more akin to a PlayStation 4 — it’s leaps and bounds better. I really am blown away by the experience on the Quest and urge you to consider picking one up. You’ll be very glad you did!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The biggest difference is the 6DOF tracking. This allows you to move in all directions within the enviroment, for complete immersion. Also, the touch controllers are a huge bonus which allow you to easily interact with your environment. It also has a faster graphics processor, so you will get better looking and more advanced games. The Go is more of a VR media player with some games and the Quest is a dedicated VR gaming console. Some games do have the cross buy feature between oculus platforms, but not all. I would check the oculus store to be sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Games you already have will not work on the quest. The quest is miles above the go. Better sound better eye tracking. Better graphics. Much faster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Okay soon order by question: The quest gives you mobility and the freedom to create your own boundaries. The games you already have will not transfer to the quest. I would suggest the oculus s.
