- Answer Yes it does twist. It is very tight when you first get it. You can lefty-loosy or righty-tighty it. Loose means the chair will tilt backwards easier. If you tighten it all the way it will be next to impossible to tilt backwards. If you make it too loose you could tip back too easily, BUT you have to crank and crank it to get it to be too loose. So cranky away, test it, then crank again until you like it.

QuestionDoes this chair adjust low enough for someone who is 5'6" to comfortably use?

- Answer It's a little difficult to answer that question. I'm 5'2" and when I'm sitting at the top level I can still reach the floor with my feet. when I measure from the top of the seat to the floor it's 21 and 1/2". I hope that helps

- Answer Hi did not get mine assembled, but each piece came separately fully assembled and it’s just a matter of screws to put it together. I think 15 screws in total.

- Answer It doesn't look like they can tilt frontward or back. They can move further away from the seat or in close to the seat depending on how much space you need.
