This particular printer comes with a 2 year HP Instant Ink subscription that includes the ink and shipping. HP Instant Ink is an ink replacement service. Instead of paying for the amount of ink you using, you would be paying for the number of pages you print. So, now you can print whatever you want. The rule is a page is a page. You can print letter-sized photos all month long. When you get low on ink, HP will send you ink before you need it at no additional cost. If you choose not to take part of the HP Instant Ink service, you can print in single cartridge mode with only one cartridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had the printer long enough to have to change the cartridges, but with the prior model it lasted a fairly long time. I doubt if they ever would run out all at the same time. If you subscribe to instant ink this is not a problem as you should always have a replacement on hand.
