- Answer The value of the instant ink subscription is $120 which is $60 per year so on the medium plan which is $4.99 and provides 100 pages per month, so 2,400 pages over the 2 years. You can also subscribe to a different plan. Note that this printer also has a 2 year warranty from HP.

- Answer Yes it does, it is on top of the printer. The center section of the top is hinged to the right. When open it becomes part of the feeder tray. The paper is fed from the right.

- Answer This particular printer comes with a 2 year HP Instant Ink subscription that includes the ink and shipping. HP Instant Ink is an ink replacement service. Instead of paying for the amount of ink you using, you would be paying for the number of pages you print. So, now you can print whatever you want. The rule is a page is a page. You can print letter-sized photos all month long. When you get low on ink, HP will send you ink before you need it at no additional cost. If you choose not to take part of the HP Instant Ink service, you can print in single cartridge mode with only one cartridge.

- Answer No, you don't have to. During the original installation it will ask if you want to sign up, and you can tell it "no". If you change your mind later, you can sign up on the Instant Ink website.

QuestionI have hear that if this printer is not used much it uses a lot of ink just cleaning the heads and cannot be stopped, is that true

- Answer It will use some ink cleaning if it's not used for a long period of time. However, if you leave the printer on all the time (so it doesn't do a cleaning cycle) the print heads may not be properly capped and the ink will dry in the heads if they're exposed to air for long periods of time. In that case, you'll need to run the head cleaning routine (possibly multiple times) which will use at least as much ink as occasional cleaning cycles will.

- Answer You can, but the Ink subscription you pay one price monthly, depending on the plan and how much you print. They will send you ink, without having to go in the store looking for some.
