• When placing the documents into the Auto feeder, you need to place the documents in the Face Up Position. When you Open the Cover, It shows this description on the Feeder. I hope this helps you.

• If you're putting them on the scanner glass, they need to go face down. If you're sending them from the document feeder on top, you'll need to put them in the feeder face up.
