“how would you rate this as a wide angle landscape lens vs the Olympus 12mm or something similar?....going to Alaska and i'm needing a good lens for mountains, etc..Should I go with something like a 9mm or 12MM? THX.”

The M.Zuiko 17mm F1.8 lens is a great all around lens with moderate wide angle capabilities. However, the M.Zuiko 12mm F2.0 lens is much better suited for landscape photography due to the wider angle of view. This lens also has excellent sharpness, very low distortion and a fast max aperture, making it one of the favorite landscape lenses among micro 4/3 users.
