Not really. If you are experiencing frame skips, it is probably your GPU and not the monitor. This monitor will allow high powered PC users to display more frames per second, making the game look smoother. However if your computer is underpowered, frame skips will still occur. A monitor is just a tool to display an image or video, it is dependent on your computer to send the information to display. While this monitor can display 144 Frames of information per second, making games run very smooth, it requires your computer to be able to do the calculations to push that information to monitors.
