Of course it’s pump makes some noise, though it’s a little quieter than some we’ve had. Unless you prefer hand squeezing a bulb, I don’t know how you’d get away from some motor sound in battery run units. We personally aren’t bothered by the sound. The integral motor and pump is on your arm, not on a separate table unit, so it’s a bit closer to your ear. Maybe some background ambient sound like radio music or earpods would help your tolerance.
