spectrum is part of Verizon's telco network.  8T "global unlocked" model supports operating on Verizon 4G and 5G frequency bands.   There are other 8T models.  If you are buying a different model, check the network specs to verify phone operation on specific bands.

To use a new phone, remove the sim card from old phone, and place it into the sim tray of the new phone.  Insert the tray with sim card into the new phone.  (The 8T global is a dual sim phone.  The tray holds two sim cards for dual carrier operation.)  The carrier will interrogate the sim info to allow connection to network.)

Contacts list, pictures, data files can be transferred to new phone manually, or by synchronizing via google cloud.
