“I presently have a Pioneer VSX-D912 (no HDMI) 7.2 connected with speakers A&B operating in stereo only. The receiver automatically shuts off the B speakers when in 7.2 surround. Can my rear stereo speakers be connected to zone B?”

If your just playing music it should be fine to use zone 2 as surround but it wont use them as surround sound so you will lose the effect. Most recievers will just play stereo through the 2nd zone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This receiver offers connections for all 7.2 speakers and offers 2 for zone 2 which is 9 total speaker connections. 2 left/right front, 1 center, 2 left/right rear, 2 left/right surround high, and 2 left/right zone 2.
