• Yes, I used Rocketfish™ - Speaker Cable Banana Plugs (4-Pack) - Red/Black purchased at Best Buy. These worked great .

• 2 units I had did NOT work with banana plugs, but did work with bare wires. Maybe it depends on brand of banana plugs?
