I currently have an older 5 speaker surround sound Bose system hooked up to this receiver. It works perfectly. However, I don't believe there is separate A and B speaker selection on this unit because there are only 5 total speaker connection on the back. In addition, I see No A B speaker selection option on remote or receiver. When playing Stereo music,( ie cd player), the two front left/right speaker are engaged by the receiver per your selection. Remember this is an AV receiver, modest level and not an Audio receiver with many options for audio components like in the old days. My very expensive, old, AV receiver had the options you request but times change and so do manufactures. Good luck,
