“My receiver shuts down when the volume gets past 60 out of 100 on movies. Most frequently this happens when there are explosions or loud noises in the movie. Any idea what's going on? I have checked all my speakee connections. I have. 7 vp62r speakers .”

Sounds like a speaker(s) could be causing the amp to shut down. Try disconnecting your speakers one at a time and then test.
