- Answer Make sure speakers are connected in "zone 2". Then push zone 2 on front of receiver or remote. Should do it.

QuestionIt states in the description that there are 2 HDMI outputs and 7 HDMI inputs. Looking at the photo I only see 1 output and 6 inputs. Am I missing something? Are they on the front behind a panel or something? Thanks

- Answer The picture on the Best Buy website is actually a photo of another model - the Onkyo TX-NR575 which has one less HDMI input. There are 6 on the back of the TX-NR676. Attached is a photo from the manual of my TX-NR676 to illustrate. There are also two HDMI outputs as you will note from the photo.

- Answer Unfortunately, No. The reciever allows for an audio device with Bluetooth output but does not have the capabilities to output a Bluetooth signal.

QuestionI have 2 klipsch 820f tower speakers runing with this receiver but in high volume and the receiver set on 6 ohms is getting hot , and i move to 4 ohms and the same volume the temperature is normal , the speakers are 8 ohms i dont know what to do 4or6ohms?

- Answer You should run in 4 ohms only if you cannot run 8. You need go into speaker config under settings and turn to 8 . Before you burn up your towers.

QuestionI have my receiver connected to a pair of older Bose speakers. Sound is good but I have t0 have the volume up to about 50 or 60 before I can hear it. Is this normal? If not how to I remedy it.

- Answer Bought this for my dad and he has a set of older speakers and the volume has to be set to 50 or 60 also. So for older speakers this seems to be normal.

QuestionHow many watts rms are in the front chanels ?

- Answer It depends on the speakers you run, but in general, you will get 100 watts per channel across a typical home theater setup using 6 ohm or 8 ohm speakers. Most speakers (except the ultra high-end brands) are 6 or 8 ohm. 4 ohm speakers will let the amp output more power. Onkyo's website should have that spec if you need it.

QuestionDoes this receiver have the ability to play from separate sources in Zone 1 and Zone 2? I.e. can I simultaneously play my TV in Zone 1 and music from a separate source outside in Zone 2?

- Answer Yes. You need to switch from zone 1 to zone 2 and select tuner vs cable for example. You will hear tv sound in zone 1 while hearing strerio in zone 2.

- Answer I hooked my now discontinued '04 Infinity seperates speaker system to this receiver, with no issues. My Infinitys are much like your Bose Acoustimass, powered sub, unpowered front, rear and an unpowered Bose center. Different manufacturers, but same design, so I would see no probs for you. I upgraded from a 2005 Sony receiver to this, and couldn't be happier.

- Answer Y new onkyo works well with Boston Speakers and my other components. It is easy to setup. Use the sound link to test and adjust the speakers the first time you use them. There are also adjustments on the remote that help balanace the sound.

QuestionI have a very tight space for this receiver. The specs state that the depth is 14.9 inches. Does this dimension include the knob on the front, or is only the chassis?

- Answer The specification is generous. The depth is actually about an inch lower including the knob in the front. I measured from the longest input wire head for clearance to the front knob and got about 13.5 inches. the unit itself from the back antennas to the front knob measures 12.5 inches.

- Answer The remote is an infrared remote, which requires line of sight. However, if you connect the receiver to your network (either wifi or Ethernet) you can use the Onkyo app to control it via the network by using your smart phone.

QuestionI read on a few different blogs that Onkyo receivers have issues with HDMI and ARCing - to be honest i'm not entirely sure what that even means, but there are lots of folks who say this is an issue. Is it an issue folks?

- Answer ARC (Audio Return Channel) simply means that the TV can receive video signal and send back audio through the same HDMI cable. If your TV has streaming such as ROKU, it can send audio to the receiver while you stream content on your TV. I had to set mine up without the manual so it was a pain to find the setting that turns this feature on but it seems to be working fine. I do know that there are firmware updates that address problems with this feature. If you don't use streaming sourced from the TV, it is a non-issue.
