  • QuestionDo you have to buy filters for this humidifier?

    Asked by littlecreek.

    • Answer No the filter is the ceramic beads that are attached to the lid and that's permanent... Every time you unscrew the lid and take it off your actually removing the filter. The manual comes with thorough instructions on cleaning and everything, but you basically put some water in the tank and just a small amount of bleach and let it soak for 20-25 minutes swishing it around several times then rince really good. And that's how you clean the filter + tank. And then just wipe the base with cleaning wipes. And I personally only like to use distilled water when it's in use. I hope this info helps!

  • QuestionDoes this have a bright light on it? My current humidifier is WAY too bright for the baby’s room. I’m looking for something with very little to no light.

    Asked by AllieS.

    • Answer I would not consider this light to be too bright so I would say no. And the tank seems to have a little tint to it (maybe that's why I don't find it overly bright??) But, If your buying this for a baby I do want to mention that this humidifier does make the room feel cold when the sun isn't shining through the windows just want to let you know. Hope this helps!

  • QuestionIs the Optimus made in the USA?

    Asked by BJ.

    • Answer The box my humidifier came in says it was made in China. So far it has done a good job. It runs more quietly than any other humidifier I’ve ever used, even though it gurgles periodically as water is used

  • QuestionCan I use essential oils on this one

    Asked by Elizabeth.

    • Answer Probably. You’d have to just drop it in where the water fills. But is there an area for it directly? No.
