• Hard shell outside, but the silicone cover is exposed on the sides for better grip. Overall not very slippery

• The rubber part of the case is mostly exposed on either side of the phone and then again at the bottom inch. The rubberized parts have a good soft, but not too soft feel to them.

• It's hard plastic. There are some spots on the sides that have rubber for a grip. The defender case is all rubbery grip material.
