Actually the stand is part of the belt clip. There's an lock that holds the clip open to have it work as a stadium.

Sure, it does! You just haven't figured out how to use it correctly. Take the black piece that has the belt clip and put your phone in it face out. Now, put the middle piece down on your table or desk and watch your phone stand by itself!

It comes with a belt clip, but no built in stand. If you read that it had this feature, it's definitely false advertising.

this case does not come with a stand. The ad at best buy and the box on the shelf did not state that. Check your model numbers again...

Oops...I left out a step. You can also open the belt clip until it snaps in place and serves as the back part of the stand. If you still aren't sure about how to do it, go to the Otterbox website. There is a video there which shows you how to do it!
