A:Answer The case is quite sturdy and has a lot more than leather. However, this case did not save my Samsung S8 Plus from breaking from an accidental fall. Mine fell apparently on the corner and the screen smashed. I believe the issue is trying to protect the S8 with the "edge" as part of the screen. I've used this same case for almost 2years on an iPhone without any issues, before and after the S8.(including inadvertent drops). I actually made the hard choice to give up on the S8 because of fear of having to fork out $175 with insurance in the event it dropped again.
