- Answer Not sure of the exact magnification but it is very strong. The light is bright. Perfect for crossword puzzles and reading labels when shopping.

QuestionHow do you change the battery?

- Answer Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding lamp (model #MG021FD), there does to possibly be a small screw on the coin screw, underneath the slit. May have to use a small eyeglass repair type screw driver in order to open coin screw for battery replacement (2 button batteries CR2016). Hope this helps.
