“Will this work as a desk lamp also? I like the idea of it being taller, but would love it if when bent, it can also help with working at the desk. Saves buying two lights separately. Thanks”

It could but you would need to keep the lamp base on the floor. The lamp begins to bend approximately 45” high from the base so there is limits on the flexibility of positioning the light.

I have not used mine that way, but it is certainly bright enough and when flexed to 90 degrees would be about 16" above a standard height (24 to 26") desk. If positioned opposite the user (someone sitting at the desk), the lamp would reach over toward the user about 14 to 18 "
