it will record the porch pirates or any one that came in the camera detection zone, you may consider subscribe to the basic plan for the camera and get access to the archive of videos. One thing to consider is the thieves can rip the camera off but they (should) are already be recorded as soon as they approach and the video will be stored cloud base, then it's up to the police to get them.
