Hi there! The door can be opened with the door release button found on the bottom right corner of the microwave. Please note that you have to unlock the door after operation before being able to open it. The door lock function can also be disabled by pressing Defrost, then Timer and then Popcorn within 10 seconds. We hope this information will be useful! - S
