• The unit does play CDs. To hook it to a stereo though the stereo must have a HDMI connection. Since there is only one HDMI connection on the unit, your stereo would need to have both an HDMI input and output connection unless you want to have to switch the cable between your stereo and TV when you want to switch from listening to music to watching a movie. Or you could buy an HDMI splitter to connect to both units.

• Thank you for reaching out! Kindly be informed that this particular model can also play CDs, however the playable media depends mainly on the format of the content. The DP-UB150 can be connected to an amplifier/receiver.
