Q: QuestionWill the IR receiver on this model recognize an IR blaster? My TV is in a different room than my A/V components; therefore I must be able to control this unit using the remote control pointed at an IR receiver which then sends signal to IR blaster.

Q: QuestionWould like to know if the unit can be set to easily automatically switch between the HDMI output when watching video, to using the Balanced analog outputs for the 2-channel audio without having to go into menus? Is there a auto-setting or button for this?

Q: QuestionHow do you set the Panasonic player remote to raise or lower the volume on your TV? There is absolutely nothing in the manual to instruct you how to do this. I have a new Sony Bravia Model:XBR48A9 Oled 4K TV.

• A:Answer I have 2 Panasonic 820s and this 9000. Each setup, at some point, the units asked who was the cable box provider. Answered that question and the unit synced to that box. I believe the remote is actually controlling the volume of the cable box as I can separately raise and lower the volume using the Panasonic remotes or the TVs remotes. I would suggest you go back through setup and sync your cable box, if you have one. If not, I think you are probably out of luck. The 9000 remote is NOT a universal remote (programmable codes) so I doubt it will drive a Sony. Hope this helps. PS. The "manual" that comes with the unit is worthless. • A:Answer It won't play pure DVD-Audio, but it will play Blu-ray audio and video and all kinds of CDs and DVDs.It is and excellent CD and DVD player. Also it won't play SACDs. Download the PDF manual,there' a couple of pages where it breaks down all the media it WILL play.Hope I helped. C.M.
