You have no options with just the TV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Purchase a Sewell (online site) audio Digital to Analog Dolby decoder converter for $50.00. You will also need to purchase a digital Toslink optical cable to connect from the TV's DA audio out to the DA converter-$10.00 & up for a 12ft. cable & can be found at most stores or online . This converter unit will decode the TV's Dolby 5.1 audio out to a 2 channel output via a L & R RCA jacks and a 3.5mm headphone jack that is on the side of the unit. You will then turn the TV sound off under the menu/audio screen so as the audio will only be from the digital audio out(always "ON"'). Please keep in mind that not all audio DA converters decode Dolby nor have a side headphone output jack. Headphones to use will probably need to have their own line volume control since the converter does not control volume level. In addition, I don't think the TV remote can control the volume level of the audio digital out -Hope this helps....Recently had to figure this out on my own to connect an older 2 channel stereo system.
