Is this answering machine for a landline? null

It is meant to work like a landline phone, but it will work with any "Home Phone" arrangement. I have mine hooked up to a Verizon "Home Phone" over-the-air device and it works just fine with it. Of course, it will not receive texts and will not run any "apps."
