“How long is the delay between the time the phone is picked up to the time our message is heard?”

• Machine answers on 4th ring... 2 second delay until message starts

• Hi Pat, It depends on how many time you would allow the unit to ring before the answering machine kicks in. The default number of rings is at 4, so that would give you around 20 to 30seconds before it picks up. If you set it to a lower number of rings the unit picks up faster and takes a shoter period of time. After that it the answering machine picks up automatically. Hope this helps out,
