“Turn off Fax while on vacation Can I turnoff the faxing for the Panasonic fax/copier digital answering system, model #KX-FP215, but want to record and listen to phone messages while on vacation. If it is possible to turn off the faxing, then what happens when someone tries to fax something, and will the person know that the fax did not come through? Thank You, Gary”

• Hi Gary, There's no permanent way of turning off the fax part of the machine. But once you set it to it's TAM / FAX mode what would happen is that the primary function would be the answering machine and the fax part is just a second function. All callers will hear the answering machine first and if they didn't respond the fax would kick in. And if a person is sending you a fax the unit will automatically turn on the fax part. • This has not been an issue for me but I believe the answer is YES. It can be set to Telephone/answering machine only.
