• You Can turn off the answer. After a certain number of rings, however the message center defaulted to "answer" no matter what I tried. I eventually put a message on that there was no answering machine attached, "please call back" and let messages fill up. It then just rang because there was no more room for messages. Bummer. You should be able to just turn it off.
