Does this phone work during a power outage? null

Does your wired phone work during power outages? if the answer is yes, then then you have your answer.. UNLESS you are using a phone service thru your local cable provider. Then it wont work because the phone service goes through a modem

Hi and thank you for your patience! The unit cannot be used to make or receive calls during a power failure. However, we do have other models that do have a power backup failure, if you would be interested we recommend the following models, which are similar to this unit: KX-TG383, KX-TGF872, and KX-TGF353. The base unit needs power to receive the signals from handsets and the cell phone. if the base unit isn't powered none of the devices can connect to the landline or to your cell phones.
