Yes. Base connects to phone outlet.

System contains 4 handsets. All four must be plugged into an outlet for power. One unit must also be plugged into the internal house phone wiring.

Hi Lou. Yes, all of our telephone systems have their main base unit connected to an outlet. The actual handsets are cordless, but not the main base charger and the handset chargers. -A
