There have been so many transfer techniques used to create DVD’s that sometimes a DVD will play on an old player but not a new one. You might be amazed at how beautiful some well-created DVDs will look on this player- the picture quality is outstanding.

A:AnswerYes, this 4K player will work with your 4K TV by connecting with an HDMI cable. Not sure what your Cablevision has to do with the Panasonic 4K player unless they also provide your internet. If they do, the player can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or hard wired via ethernet to your modem and stream 4K content.

I bought 2 of these Panasonic 4K players, one connected to Wi-Fi and Onkyo 5.1 receiver via HDMI, the second player is hard wired to the modem via ethernet cable, connected to TV and Onkyo 7.2.2 using HDMI cables, and to the cable box with an optical cable.
A:AnswerThere should be a setting in the set up on the DVD player that will say control other devices turn that off or uncheck it and the DVD player will work separately after that then you have to turn the TV on manually
