A:AnswerThe 420 doesn't support Dolby Vision while the 820 does. If you don't have a TV that supports Dolby Vision or don't care about that, then this is a cheaper option. It is apparently louder than the 820 player, though I have not personally used the 420 player to confirm it. My 820 doesn't make noise in the years that I have used it.
