“Has anyone had a problem with this machine. Such as does it play all of your DVDs - bluray & 4k or do some of them not play at all - look like a scrambled picture. The picture quality and features are great but I'm really not sure about buying another one”

I just got mine. Had it less than a month. It doesn’t play many 4K disks. It also has problems when it does recognize the disks. The screen image will get pixilated and the playback slows to a crawl. I spent a lot of time cleaning the disks. That doesn’t solve the problem. I also have a PS5 hooked up to the same audio system and tv. The PS5 plays the same exact 4k disks that this Panasonic won’t play. Manufacturing date on the player is June 2023. Firmware is up to date. Seems to have less of a problem with standard blue ray disks. First Panasonic anything that has failed me. Going to return the player. Not sure what I’ll do for a replacement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ive owned mine 3 years. Watch a ton of movies. Worked perfectly about 9 months. Than started getting finicky wouldnt load brand new 4k discs. Say couldnt read or disc error. Thats gotten worse. It reads blu rays and dvds fine. But apparently the 4k laser has become worn. I even took apart and cleaned the lens. When it played 4k discs,great picture,and never froze. Movies that froze on my sony es1100 played thru on my pani. I may buy another,BUT INVEST IN A PROTECTION PLAN. Which is something I never do. It’s fully functional, reads all discs easily and the picture on our LG OLED tv is beautiful — no issues at all. This player replaced an LG that was clunky, unresponsive and, seemingly, was incompatible with the LG tv,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So Far, So good. I have only run 4k movies on my player and have not had any issues. 4k tv and bose sound system, everything runs in unison. Hope this helps
