Yes, this player supports Sony's low latency Dolby Vision and has been verified in many of the major HT forums and high end testers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it should. The Dolby Vision profile should support all Sony TVs with the X1 Extreme. I'm glad they released the Dolby update before the product release. I have an A1E, so I'm definitely pre ordering the Panasonic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should. It does work on my Z9F and also the Sony A9F tvs. You'll just have to go into settings from main menu and make sure DV is set to "On" when you want to use it. And Deep Color at Auto 12bit
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I have the Sony 900f and it plays DV after the firmware upgrade right out the box. It also has support for HDR10 for future proofing.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are now several HDR protocols: the original HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. There is no reason to expect multiple versions of Dolby Video. There is only one version. If your TV is compatible with Dolby Vision, it will play it. So, what does compatible mean? The TV must respond to the demands of Dolby Vision 4K video from a compatible player like the Panasonic UDB820, that is playing a Dolby Vision encoded 4k disk. If none of these things is true . . . ALL 4k TVS labelled as HDR compatible will default to the original HDR which is ALSO embedded in ALL 4k HDR movies or broadcast video.
