“I'm due a trial Apple TV+ subscription; does streaming and Wi-Fi built in on this mean I can access Apple TV+ content ON MY TV from the internet or Mac or iPhone or HomePod or whatever, or do I still also need an Apple TV box just for the trial? Thanks!”

You can stream from all those devices with the app, you don't need an Apple TV box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t think this blu ray player has a built in Apple TV app. You will need the app to access Apple TV. Any device that has the Apple TV app will work. I use my Roku Ultra to access the Apple app & my LG C1 also has the app so you don’t necessarily have to buy an Apple TV streaming box. I cannot speak to mirroring from a cell phone as I have never tried it due to poor WiFi coverage in my home setup. All my streaming is done via Ethernet cable hook up. It is a great app though and I recommend it.
